Salsa Program

SALSA 1 (Introduction)
A progressive course focusing on learning basic salsa steps, timing and rhythm, proper turning technique and how to lead and follow well - all while having fun!

SALSA 2 (Beginner)
This course strengthens what has been learned in Beginner 1. We will focus on timing, partner skills and dance floor etiquette as new steps are taught. Steps and turns will be linked into short turn patterns. Introduction to Merengue is also included.

SALSA 3 (Beginner/Intermediate)
This is an advanced beginner course and is a transition class from the beginner to intermediate level. Those interested in this class must already know the cross-body-lead and basic turns. Introduction to Cha Cha Cha is also included.

SALSA 4 (Intermediate)
This class is for those people who have a good idea of how to dance salsa but need help linking the steps together into danceable patterns. This course will include intermediate turns and patterns and important tips on being a good leader and follower. Those interested in this class should already have taken salsa lessons and been dancing socially on a regular basis. Introduction to Bachata is also included

SALSA 5  (Advanced)
This course will focus on more advanced turns and variations, how to spin better, how to add style to your dancing.  In short, how to be a more complete dancer!

Advance Salsa Fundamentals (Intermediate/Advance)

This class is a special class. One of it’s kind. This class is for students who are (or honestly consider themselves) Intermediate or Advance Salsa Dancers. This course is five class long, each class is 60 minute long. In this class you will learn how to expand your “repertoire” of dance move by exploring what you already know. Most dancers limit themselves because they lack imagination. This course will play with your imagination. The first class will be about the 7x3x2 rules taught to me by Victor from San Tropez. You cannot miss this first class because the knowledge taught in this class will be required for the remainder of this course. The second class will be about Cross Body Lead….the millions of millions of CBL. The third class will be about the many types of Copa moves (Aka In and Out). The fourth class will be about the many types of sling shots. The fifth class will be about hand shines and complicated arm patterns (such thread the needle….straight jacket….etc).

LADIES' STYLING (Open to all levels)
Add elegance, style and sexiness to your dancing! Learn how to add body and hip movements to your solo shines and partner work, incorporate fancy arm and hand styling to your dancing, improve your posture and balance and learn how to turn with more control. A confidence-building, women-only class suitable for any level of dancer!

OPEN SHINES (Open to all levels)
Solo salsa footwork that is taught in short routines for ease of recall. Helps to greatly improve your timing, coordination and style, while having fun and getting a great workout!

CASINO RUEDA (Miami Style)

In Rueda, couples form a circle in which one person calls or signals the different moves. Depending on the call the couples dance intricate combinations and turns or switch partners. Danced to Salsa timing (stepping on the one beat) the result is a fast paced, beautifully synchronized, exciting dance. Not only do you get to interact with other dancers it's also fun beyond words! The best Salsa dancers in Miami know these moves. For the list of move...click here.
